These vast, untouched areas allow us to become immersed in the native ecosystem offering an unparalleled opportunity to interact with the wildlife and fish which reside there. The isolation and tranquility allow you to fully engage in the now, leave technological distractions of everyday life an afterthought, unplug and absorb the spectacular setting.

Backcountry Fishing: Tips For A Successful Trip

Things to consider before your Fly or Light Tackle Fishing Charter:

  • Practice before you come! Being able to quickly and accurately cast 30 – 60 feet is key. This will increase your opportunities to catch the fish we target.
  • Wear neutral colors and try to minimize aggressive movements while casting. If the boat rocks the fish can often feel the push of water it creates.
  • If bringing your own rod and reel, make sure your fly or braided line is in good condition. New line makes a big difference.
  • Enjoy the experience. Attitude is everything. Take time to appreciate the Backcountry, embrace the adventure!
